小托马斯：之前没料到杰伦-布朗会到达今日这样的高度

被问到之前有没有料到杰伦-布朗会到达今日的高度时，小托马斯表明：“我不会扯谎，我彻底没有料到。不过你能看到他的一些特质，他总是待在练习馆里，他总是在问问题。我从未见过一个新秀在怎么变得更好、怎么做正确的工作方面问这么多问题。因而他一直是篮球方面的学生。”

谈到布朗有多好学时，小托马斯表明：“练习完毕后他还会想打1对1，他想做一切的那些工作。你现已看到他的技能，可是如果说我在过去就现已料到他会夺得总决赛MVP，那我是在说谎。我那时候并不知道，但我看到他能变得特别。”

2016-17赛季，小托马斯和杰伦-布朗在凯尔特人做过一个赛季的队友，其时布朗是一个菜鸟。
